Stone Clover is a high energy rock and roll band formed in Detroit, Michigan, that utilizes influences from both the Motor City rock and folk scenes. The band uses modern sound with traditional instruments to push musical boundaries into a heavier and more singular style. Years of packing clubs and winning over festival crowds has helped them to forge a new genre called “Paddy Slag”.

Stone Clover’s music, formed around driving guitar and soaring violin over infectious rock beats, carries them across every stage. With unique instrumentation and musical prowess, they create a visually and aurally stunning presence on stage that engages audiences of all backgrounds and ages. This original approach allows them to gather crowds everywhere from folk festivals to high profile rock stages.

Embracing their roots, while also looking to the future, Stone Clover is poised to record their second album of all original music. Opening and providing direct support for multiple high profile national acts, including Ben Folds, AWOL Nation, Cheap Trick, Uncle Kracker, The Verve Pipe, and more, as well as spending time on the road with the final Vans Warped Tour last year, has further pushed their live performance into an action packed display of intense musicianship and gnarly showmanship. With a continuously expanding library of infectious music, Stone Clover continues to bring fun, friendship, and “Paddy Slag” to stages around the world.

Stone Clover is:

Pauly Brady - Lead Vocals, Guitar

Pauly Brady, a self-taught singer and songwriter, was born in Detroit, Michigan. His grandparents founded Detroit’s historic Old Shillelagh pub, which he grew up in and lived above for many years. Pauly spent many summers growing up traveling with his father, a master silversmith formerly licensed with Harley Davidson, across the country to countless Motorcycle rallies. This is where he gained the love of travel he carries to this day.

Pauly left engineering college in order to become a professional production brewer and silversmith, while also pursuing his love of music. Over the years, he has played in multiple rock and roll bands, while also performing Irish folk music across the city. Pauly drew upon all of these influences to form Stone Clover.

A self-proclaimed nerd, Pauly enjoys science fiction, classic literature, comic books, cartoons, renaissance festivals, and video games. He describes himself as a “lover of life” and an “educated fool”.

Fanny Daigh - Violin, Vocals

Fanny Daigh (age indeterminate) studied violin performance at Wayne State University in Detroit under Dr. Laura Roelofs and Mr. Hai Xin Wu. Though her formal training was primarily classical, performing under various symphonies such as the Michigan Philharmonic and the Dearborn Symphony, Fanny has also performed and recorded with numerous Irish, folk, country, and rock ensembles such as Black Murray, and Doop and the Inside Outlaws. Currently, Fanny provides private violin instruction, and is in the process of composing her own instructional method book.

Though her background may seem structured, Fanny still enjoys Spaghetti-o’s and watching Adventure Time, and she’ll fight you if you have anything negative to say about it.

Jacob Pratt - Drums

Jacob Pratt started playing percussion in 4th grade (how old are you then?) in middle school band. Quickly falling in love with it, he continued to expand his horizons in the marching band activity. Marching 6 years of Drum and Bugle Corps and winning a silver medal in DCI (Drum Corps International), and 4 years of indoor percussion playing in an ensemble and placing top 5 in WGI (Winter Guard International). Once aged out of the marching activity, Jacob moved to Los Angeles CA to attend MI (Musicians Institute) and earned a degree in percussion drum set performance.

Jacob lived in LA for 4 years playing with various ensembles locally and toured. Looking for a change he moved to Nashville TN where he was befriended by Pete Cummings (Tanya Tucker, Oakridge boys, Elvis Presley) and getting the opportunity to play and record with artists like Chopper Anderson (Tesla, Bonnie Raitt) Eric Bikales (Neil Sedaka) Dereck St. Holmes (Ted Nugent) and many other local musicians.

Jacob returned to Michigan in 2016 to get back in touch with family and his first passion of marching percussion, and taking a job teaching at Lake Orion HS where he is the director of the winter percussion program. After playing around the local music scene and reconnecting with old friends, he heard about Stone Clover looking for a new drummer and jumped on the chance to audition for the group. Jacob has been an active member of the group ever since playing, touring, and recording with the ensemble.

Michael Berger - Bass, Vocals

Michael Berger was raised in Farmington Hills, Michigan, and has been playing bass in the Detroit music scene for the past 18 years. Michael earned a degree in music from Wayne State University, and joined Stone Clover in 2018. Covering a wide variety of genres, he has also provided the low end for local bands Rebel Devil, The Crumz, Oakbones, Dr. V. Shawn, among other local musicians.
